Season 2 Draft

By this Saturday, we'll be in our first playoffs for the league. Starting from their, I hope we can have the playoffs finished by next Monday if not Tuesday. Playoffs shouldn't take too long at all, especially with the amount of games needed to get played every week.

I'm just preparing everyone now about the upcoming draft so they will know and not tell me they didn't. I'm planning on starting the draft as soon as the SB ends.

Right before the draft, owners will have to make a list of about 7 players they will cut from their team, just enough so that the CPU doesn't cut players themselves as your roster will be filled. Make sure your roster doesn't go over 53 players, so at least 46 players should be on your team before you start drafting. I'm still debating on whether or not each owner will have to cut a certain amount of players based on OVR or just anyone they want. If we do it based on OVR good chance we'll be having a FA Draft.

The draft will get started in the forums. You'll post the player you want, and wait for everyone else to make their posts and once your pick is up again, you'll post again. Simple enough.

If you are going to be unable to be on during the draft time, PM me a list of players/positions in order that you want them in. I recommend everyone should give me a list of players just in case they somehow miss the draft date.

The draft, as mentioned, will start as soon as the Super Bowl ends, and the end of the draft will probably be about a day or two depending on how fast we go.

How this will work: Owners will get one hour to pick. After that hour, you'll be skipped and the next owner will go. We'll be picking from Picks 1-4 as they are the only picks that really matter. Picks 5-7 will be simmed and the players you get will be the players you will keep. (good chance those players will be released anyway by you guys).

Everything else I'm still deciding on. Whether we should do a FA Draft and how the Salary Cap will be worked out. Honestly want to hear your opinions on the FA Draft.

if the superbowl ends around 8 or 9 first 5 owners arent there are we really gonna be up untill 5-6 am making picks ?

Well I don't think Red expects that, maybe during like 12am-6am or 7am the draft is closed in order to allow people to sleep. But also that's why red wants people to send him a list of players so if they aren't on he has a list of players to draft for a team.

Yeah the draft will likely only be open during the day

in another league im in they do the draft using the chatbox i think we should set a night and time 1 hour is a little much... as im not usually on during the day
