I'm very concerned about this league and if anyone remembers the rules or not about putting in backups and going for it on 4th Down.
Yes, in the rules I've stated that going for it on 4th Down after passing the 50yd line is allowed when it's 4th and 1 or Inches, however doing it when you're up by a large margin, couple possessions, is NOT ALLOWED!
Two owners I've seen this week doing it, both going for it 3 times on 4th Down when from what I can tell, both were up the entire game. Hate calling people out but in this situation I have to.
JusticeNY, from what I see the only time you should had ever went for it was during the 2nd Quarter when you were up and down during that quarter. I'm guessing you did go for it during that quarter but anytime after that you really shouldn't. But that's not what I was most concerned about. What I was most concerned about was Romo's 17/30, 470yds, and 7 TDs! It really looks like you're stat padding him since you were still throwing for TDs in the 4th quarter. I know you ran 25 times but you really should've just put Kitna in.
bearfan, you should had only gone for it during the 1st quarter, honestly I don't think you should had ever went for it considering you were up 28-0 by the 4th quarter and won 41-28. however never losing the lead. 3 4th down tries as well and if done at any time it should've been during the 1st quarter, however I don't see the logic of ever going for it when it's 0-0 or 7-0 or even 14-0 when you have a lead. When you have a large lead, you aren't allowed to go for it, ever.
What concerns me the most was that both of these games happened during CPU games. I'm really considering suspending players and giving strikes out. Yeah, we want to have fun, but in a SIM style area. I look at the stats for every game played and I want everyone to follow the rules of the league. Thought about sliding it off however you two are both veterans of the league and should know the rules by know.
I'm still debating on what I'm going to do.
